What's new
The latest changes to vadodara.biz, newest first — better Google results, easier menus and languages, the help centre, the new brand and the platform.
What changed in vadodara.biz, newest first. You do not need to do anything for these changes: they arrive automatically.
Version 2.6.1 — whole pictures, clearer sign-in entries, tidier page titles
- Pictures can be shown uncropped. Text, Hero ("Text beside image") and Services cards have a new Picture setting: Show the whole picture (don't crop) shows logos, certificates and tall photos without cutting their edges. See Page sections.
- Clearer failed sign-ins in the change log. Reasons are in plain words, for example "Sign-in page opened without its cookie (old browser tab or a bot)", and entries without an email are called Unknown visitor. Older entries are renamed too. See Change log.
- Page titles no longer repeat your business name. If a page's SEO title already ends with your business name, it is not added a second time in Google and the browser tab.
- Visit tracking fix. A page shown again with the Back button now counts as a page view, and a tap after a long pause starts a new visit, as described. Automated (headless) browsers are still not counted, on purpose. See Website visitors.
- Faster releases. New versions are ready about half an hour sooner.
Version 2.6.0 — a sales pipeline for every business, and a Professional look
Pipeline board in the owner app. Tap Leads → Pipeline board to see your leads in columns by stage, with the total value of each column, and move a lead with its stage menu and Move (works on phones). Two new stages, Discovery call and Proposal, sit between Qualified and Won. On a lead you can now set an expected value in ₹, $ or €, a next step with its date, and who it is assigned to. See Pipeline board.
A smarter enquiry form. In the Enquiry form section you can switch on extra questions: a topic list you write yourself, company, country (filled in from where the visitor is), an urgent tick box with your own text, and a deadline date. The answers are saved on the lead. See Page sections.
Lead score. Every lead gets a score from 0 to 100 (urgent, pages viewed, your key pages, company given, a target country, returning customer). Sort the Leads list by it. See Lead routing, score and auto-reply.
Lead routing. New Lead routing tab for your business: send leads about a topic to other email addresses and assign them to a team member; send phone and Telegram alerts only for urgent leads if you like. Urgent leads are marked URGENT and sent straight away. Without rules, nothing changes. See Lead routing.
Automatic reply to enquiries. Switch on Auto-reply and people who send your enquiry form get a thank-you email you write yourself; their reply reaches the assigned person or the owner. See Auto-reply.
Online calls in the customer's time zone. Mark a service as an Online call: visitors abroad see the free times in their own time, the email shows both times and your call link, and the booking joins their enquiry and moves it to Discovery call. See Bookings.
Send leads to HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier or Make. A new Webhook tab sends every new lead and stage change to an address you choose, signed so the receiver can trust it, with a delivery log. See Send leads to another system.
Download your leads as a spreadsheet (owners): Leads → Download (CSV). The weekly email now also shows your pipeline when you use it.
A new Professional look for consultancies and B2B businesses, with numbers, logo and quote sections. Choose the Professional (consultancies, B2B) theme, or keep your theme and set Section style to Professional, on the Brand tab. Sections get a polished corporate look: a stronger Hero, shaded service cards, a gradient call-to-action band, FAQ boxes and a dark footer. Websites that do not switch it on look exactly as before. See Logo, favicon, colours and fonts.
Three new sections: Numbers (stats) for two to four big numbers such as "25+ years of experience", Logos (clients, badges) for a row of client logos or certificates, and Quote (testimonial) for one large client quote with name, role, company and photo. They work with every theme. See Page sections.
Hero: a new optional Small line above the heading.
Version 2.5.0 — where visitors and people were, and on what device
- Page views, WhatsApp taps, enquiries and the change log now show where the visitor or user was (city and country), their browser and device, and their IP address (kept for 90 days). On a lead in the owner app you see it under the name, for example "Sent from: Vadodara, Gujarat, India · Chrome 131 on Android 14 · Phone". In the change log there are new IP address, City, Country, Browser and Device columns, filters and spreadsheet columns. See Leads and Change log.
- The privacy notice on every business website says so plainly: the IP address, the approximate place and the browser and device are recorded and seen by the business and the platform, and the IP address is deleted after 90 days. See Your customers' data and privacy.
Version 2.4.1 — photos update straight away; the Owner app link opens your business
- Replacing a photo now updates your website straight away. Before, pages using that photo (and your logo or browser tab icon) could show a broken image until the page was saved again. Deleting a photo also updates your website at once.
- The Owner app link in the editor now opens the business you selected. Before, on vadodara.biz/admin it opened the platform's own owner app.
Version 2.4.0 — sign-ins, failed sign-ins, downloads and replies in the change log
- Signed in, signed out, sign-in failed and downloaded now appear in the change log, so you can see who used the website editor and the owner app, wrong passwords and locked accounts, and who downloaded data. See Change log.
- Chat replies and lead notes written by you or your staff are in the change log too.
- The Bold theme's main buttons are easier to read: their red is a little lighter.
Version 2.3.0 — five new themes and a clearer change log
- Five new themes: Night (dark, for evening places), Festive (Diwali gold and maroon), Elegant (boutiques, jewellers), Playful (tutors, kids' classes) and Medical (clinics, calm blue). Switch in the website editor: Businesses → Brand → Theme. Every page changes at once; your content stays. All of them are easy to read. See Branding.
- The website editor's browser tab shows the vadodara.biz icon.
- Change log: saving a draft of a published page is no longer shown as "unpublished". The editor saves drafts by itself while you type; only publishing and unpublishing appear in the change log.
Version 2.2.0 — change log, QR codes, holiday closures and Google reviews
Change log: who changed what, and when. Every change made by you or your staff, in the website editor or the owner app, is recorded with the time, the person, what they did and which fields changed. Owners see their own business; the platform team sees all. Search, filter and download it as a spreadsheet: website editor → Platform → Change log. See Change log.
Deleting a business that still has people works (platform team). Before, it was refused while any owner or staff member still belonged to it. They now lose that business; their accounts stay.
A QR code for your counter and leaflets. In the owner app, Business → Make a QR code: pick the page it opens and where it goes (counter, leaflet, visiting card…), then download, print or send it. Visitors shows how many people came from each place. See Visitors.
Holiday closures. Add the days you are closed, for example Diwali, in the owner app (Business → Holiday closures) or the website editor (Hours tab). Your website lists them, "Open now" and Google follow them, and nobody can book those days. See Business details.
Ask for a Google review in one tap. Paste your Google review link (website editor → Social). Every lead with a phone number then has Ask for a review on WhatsApp, and your footer shows "Review us on Google". See Leads.
Version 2.1.7 — the sign-in page has our icon
- The sign-in page's browser tab shows the vadodara.biz banyan icon instead of Keycloak's. Browsers keep old tab icons for a while; reload the page if you still see the old one.
Version 2.1.6 — offers and announcements end exactly at midnight
- Offers and the announcement bar switch off on time. An offer's Valid until and the announcement's Show until end at midnight, India time. Visitors could still see them for up to an hour after that; now they disappear exactly at midnight, even on a page that is already open.
- When all offers have ended, the Offers section disappears too, heading included.
Version 2.1.5 — the chat says who answers, and uploads go to the right business
- Website chat without AI says so. When the AI assistant is off (or not set up), the note under the chat now says the team answers in person. Before, it always said answers may come from an AI assistant.
- Uploads go to the right business (platform team). A logo or icon uploaded on a business's page in the website editor now always belongs to that business. Before, it could land in the media library of the business you had worked on before. A business's logo and icon can only be its own photos.
Version 2.1.4 — clearer chat replies, and the full Google preview
- The reply box empties after you send. In the Inbox, your reply used to stay in the box after Send reply, so it looked unsent and was easy to send twice.
- Clearer chat notifications. A new website chat now shows "New message in your website chat" with the customer's message, instead of the same message twice.
- The Google preview shows the page's address. In the website editor, a page's SEO tab shows how it can look on Google. It used to show only "https://…" instead of the page's real address.
Version 2.1.3 — phone notifications, and "Remember me" remembers you
Phone notifications work. The owner app said "Phone notifications are not set up on this platform yet", although they need no setup, so no phone was told about new leads or waiting chats. Now Business → Notifications on this phone → Turn on works, and alerts arrive within about a minute.
Stay signed in for 30 days. If you tick Remember me when you sign in, the editor and the owner app no longer ask for your password every day. You type it again only after 30 days without using it (90 days at most). This matters most when the owner app is on your phone's home screen. See Sign in.
Version 2.1.2 — saved means saved
- Owner app: forms show what you just saved. After changing a lead's stage, its follow-up date, the opening hours or the announcement, the screen now shows the new value at once. Before, it could show the old value until you reloaded, which looked as if the change had not been saved.
- Deleting a business really deletes its data. Its pages, photos, leads, bookings and chats are now removed with it. Before, some of them were left behind without a business (platform team: see Add a business).
Version 2.1.1 — one click to the Inbox
- The Inbox updates by itself. New chats and messages appear within seconds while the owner app is open, without refreshing. It never interrupts you while you type a reply.
- Reply to chats from the website editor in one click. Inbox — reply to chats in the editor's side menu opens the owner app's Inbox. Each chat under CRM → Conversations has Reply to this chat in the Inbox →. See Inbox.
Version 2.1.0 — a new logo, lunch breaks and many everyday fixes
A new logo. vadodara.biz now has a banyan tree as its logo. Vadodara's name comes from vad (banyan), and traders have always met under its shade. The canopy is also a shop awning.
Lunch breaks in your opening hours. Add the same day twice (for example 10:00–13:00 and 16:00–20:00). "Open now", Google and online booking all follow the break, and the badge says when you open next, such as "Closed · opens at 4:00 PM". See Business details, opening hours and announcements.
India time everywhere. Offers and announcements stay up for the whole of their last day, and the monthly AI allowance resets at midnight on the 1st, India time.
Your Gujarati and Hindi pages speak the language fully. Buttons and fixed words such as Call, Directions, Open now, the enquiry form, booking and chat now appear in Gujarati or Hindi. You can translate the announcement bar too. See Gujarati and Hindi pages.
Owner app: a Sign out link in the top bar. Cancel on a booking and Make a new link now ask before they act. Owners can no longer change or remove another owner's account. See The owner app and Your staff.
Clear message for a double booking. "That time is already booked for … Pick another time." instead of an error.
Leads:
- You can add or change the reason a lead was lost at any time.
- An enquiry's status now follows its lead.
- Adding a contact that already exists names the existing one.
- "Follow-ups due" means the same everywhere: due by the end of today, overdue included.
See Leads.
Inbox:
- WhatsApp chats show the WhatsApp AI status.
- You get an alert when the AI could not answer, or when the monthly allowance is used up.
- The chat list shows the last real message.
See Inbox.
Reply straight to customers. Replying to a new-enquiry email goes to the customer, and customers' replies to booking emails reach your contact email.
Easier website editor:
- Fields and choices have plain names.
- Each section in a page shows its type and heading instead of "Untitled".
- Items in sections show their names.
Setup checklist:
- It stays one tap away on Today.
- The AI website writer now also drafts your menu or services and FAQs.
- The photos step counts only real photos.
Bing hears about every language version of a published page, and only when something really changed.
For the platform team:
- Encrypted backups, made at night India time.
- Error and metrics alerts by email with the stack's SMTP settings.
- A Send test email button on the dashboard.
- Errors in GlitchTip are tagged with the business.
Version 2.0.8 — one address for Google
wwwgoes to the main address.www.vadodara.biznow takes visitors tovadodara.biz, andwww.on your own domain takes them to your domain withoutwww. Google sees one website instead of two. See Using your own domain name.
Version 2.0.7 — password-reset emails just work
- Forgot password? emails now use the platform's email settings automatically — no separate setup in the sign-in system (platform team: see Users, sign-in and two-step verification).
Version 2.0.6 — found more easily on Google
- Better titles and descriptions for Google, automatically. If you did not write an SEO title, your home page title now says what you are and where, for example "Spice Garden — Restaurant in Vadodara". Pages without their own description now use their own text (such as the line under your headline) instead of the same business description on every page. See Getting found on Google.
- Your menu and services for Google. Dishes from your Menu sections (with prices in ₹ and veg or vegan labels) and items from your Services sections are now given to Google in a form it understands. Your business information now also tells Google the city you serve.
- "Found on Google" checklist in the owner app. The setup screen has a new list of 8 things only you can add, such as page descriptions, photo descriptions and your Google Business Profile link. Each says what is missing and links to the fix. Once your setup is done, Today shows "N tips to be found better on Google →". See Your first-day checklist.
- Bing hears about new pages right away. When you publish a page, Bing and similar search engines are told at once.
- One main address with your own domain. Once your own domain name works, your vadodara.biz address takes visitors straight to it. The owner app and the website editor stay on your vadodara.biz address. See Using your own domain name.
- Get listed on vadodara.biz, if you like. Tick List my business on vadodara.biz/businesses on your business's SEO tab to show your logo, type of business, city and one line on https://vadodara.biz/businesses. It is off unless you tick it. See Listing your business on vadodara.biz.
- vadodara.biz has new pages for each type of business (restaurants, salons, clinics, classes, shops and services), linked from a new Websites for column in the footer.
Version 2.0.5 — easier menus and languages
- You decide what is in your menu. Each page has a new Menu box: untick Show in the menu to leave a page out, give it a shorter Menu label, and set its Position to change the order. Home always stays first. See Adding and managing pages.
- Menu links to sections of your home page. Give a home page section a Menu label (in its Appearance settings), such as "Our menu" or "Book a table", and the menu jumps straight to it. Great for one-page websites. See Page sections: every type explained.
- Tidy menu on phones: the menu now folds into a ☰ Menu button, and the page you are on is highlighted. Your footer lists the same links.
- Language switcher: pages translated into Gujarati or Hindi now show EN · ગુ · हि buttons, so visitors can change language with one tap. See Gujarati and Hindi pages.
- Google sees only real translations. Untranslated
/guand/hicopies now point Google to your English page, and your sitemap lists only the languages each page really has. - Breadcrumbs for Google: inner pages tell Google where they sit on your site (for example "Spice Garden › Menu").
- vadodara.biz has a new menu (Home · Features · How it works · FAQ · Help) with Sign in and Get your website buttons, and a fuller footer.
- Help centre on phones: a Browse topics button under the search box opens the list of all guides.
- New guides: AI features at a glance, and for the platform team, guides on setting up AI and on search engines.
Version 2.0.4 — help when you need it
- Help centre at https://vadodara.biz/help: step-by-step guides with screenshots and short clips, for owners, staff and your customers.
- "?" help button in the owner app, next to "View site ↗". It opens the guide for the screen you are on.
- "Help for this screen" at the bottom of the website editor's side menu. It follows the part of the editor you have open.
- "Trouble signing in? Read the sign-in guide" link under the sign-in form.
- Account security page fixed: you can set up two-step verification yourself at https://auth.vadodara.biz/realms/vadodara-biz/account → Signing in → Authenticator application. See Signing in and two-step verification.
- Inbox tab for WhatsApp-only businesses: if your business uses two-way WhatsApp but not the website chat, the Inbox tab now shows in the owner app too.
- More privacy for bookings: the private link a customer uses to view or cancel a booking is no longer saved in your visitor numbers.
- For the platform team: the Keycloak admin console works again.
Version 2.0.2 — the new vadodara.biz look
